CoDirect for Mac

Coming soon for iOS, Android and Windows

Direct what’s next.

Meet Iris, the creative director who lives on your Mac. Tell her what you want to make, and she plans it, asks the right questions and builds it with you.

Drag her over the hills. She’s glass, so the view shows through.

Meet Iris

A little drop of glass with a big personality.

Iris floats, breathes, blinks and follows your pointer. Her eyes give her away: a happy squint when something’s made, a focused slant when she’s directing, heavy lids when she’s resting.

Floating, glancing around, the occasional wink.

Make her

Guided questions

Say what you want. She asks what matters.

Start with one line. Iris asks the next most useful question with a few buttons to pick from, reads what you already said and never asks twice. Then she writes one master prompt: specs, a beat-by-beat outline that adds up to your length, and the right model for the job.

  • Video, images, thumbnails, posters, social posts, logos, music, voiceovers and podcasts
  • Specs for YouTube, Shorts, TikTok, Reels, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook and Pinterest
  • Works offline, and the same on every model, even the smallest
New chat

From brief to final cut

Keyframe first. Then motion. You approve every step.

Iris turns the plan into shots, makes a still for each one, then the video and the voiceover, and cuts it all together. Anything that costs money waits for your OK.

    Shot plan

Your idea becomes shots with lens, length and framing. Continuity is tracked across all of them: the same baker, the same apron, the same morning light.

  2. 02

    Keyframes

A still for every shot comes first, so you approve the look before anything moves. Change one with a sentence, like “warmer light on shot three.”

  3. 03

    Video

Approved keyframes become clips. You see the estimate before you start, a spend guard watches the budget, and jobs pick up where they left off if CoDirect quits.

  4. 04

    Voiceover

A script written to the beat outline, read by a generated voice or an on-device one, and timed to the cut.

  5. 05

    Assembly

Iris cuts it together with captions, ducks the music under every line and masters the loudness for where it’s going: −14 LUFS for YouTube.

CoDirect Studio

Five studios. One switch.

When you’d rather do it yourself, open a Studio. Basic is made for anyone. Advanced is the full pro suite. Or just tell Iris the change.

    On-device tasks

Hand her a file. Get a new one back.

Twenty-eight everyday jobs run right on your Mac, no model or internet needed. Split and merge PDFs, pull text with OCR, resize, crop and convert images, make and read QR codes, trim video, grab frames and pull out audio. Your original is never changed.

Drag a file onto Iris, or tap one.

New files land here. Your originals stay exactly as they were.

    Everyday help

    And everything in between.

    She asks before she acts.

Reminders, calendar events, timers and email drafts wait for your OK. Email opens as a draft. Nothing is sent for you. Ask “what’s on today?” and she reads your calendar and open reminders.

    Shortcut and voice

From any app, one shortcut away.

Press Control-Option-Space and Iris is there, over whatever you’re working on. Hold Option-S to talk. Speech recognition runs on your device where it’s supported, and she can read her answers aloud.

Try it here: press ⌃ ⌥ Space, or tap the three keys.

    On your Mac

She waits at the edge of your screen.

Iris rests as a soft red light on the edge of your screen, out of the way of your work. Move toward it and she peeks out. Click, and the chat opens. Press and hold to slide her along the edge.

Move your pointer toward the left edge.

    Private by design

Your ideas stay on your Mac.

Iris can run entirely on your Mac with a built-in on-device model, accelerated by Metal on Apple silicon. Prompts and memories stay on your computer. Prefer something else? Use Apple Intelligence, Ollama or your own endpoint, or connect ChatGPT or Claude with Pro.

When you generate with Higgsfield or chat through a cloud model, your prompt goes to that provider.
